“3D Secure” is a technology for securing online payments that is now required by many countries, and has been adopted by Visa, Mastercard and most other credit and debit card companies.

From now on, in order to authorize an online payment, you will need to enter a one-time code sent by your bank via SMS or your bank’s mobile app. Your bank has likely already informed you of this new security measure for online payments.

Once your bank has activated “3D Secure” technology on your card, you can no longer make online payments without entering the one-time code provided instantly by your bank via SMS or your bank’s mobile app.

If your payment doesn’t go through, it’s most likely because the one-time code wasn’t entered.
