What you choose to submit in your application is entirely up to you and unfortunately, we can’t help you with this.

You can choose pieces:

  • that use the same or a different technique,
  • from the same series or with different themes

There is no mandatory theme. Don’t try to “guess” the Artistic Committee’s tastes by trying to find a common dominator among works selected in the past.

Don’t try to second guess the Artistic Committee – simply be yourself.

In all cases, the Artistic Committee will examine your application with care. It expects you to meet certain criteria, which may seem subjective, but which are nevertheless important.

For example: the Committee may be receptive to the following points: originality of the work, technical mastery, coherence of the work, freshness, uniqueness, historical continuity, artistic, literary, historical, scientific and philosophical references related to your work, or the message or poetry that emerges from the work.

We also understand that presenting just a few pieces of work can be quite restrictive. However, you can indicate in your application file the address of your website, Facebook page, etc. The Artistic Committee will most likely visit these when examining your application should it wish to know more about you and your work. In this way, the Artistic Committee can get a better idea of your artwork.
